RESOURCES: GOVCON POLICY & NEWS TRACKER

By Carol L. O’Riordan, Pamela J. Bethel

With the fast-paced changes in policies initiated by the Trump Administration that affect so many of the operations of the federal government, it remains a challenge to keep abreast of the changes and whether any one of the proposed initiatives becomes established policy. Previously, we’ve provided information and links to resources for Executive Actions, Executive Orders, and Litigation.

Below is information about another tracker, one that is intended to assist the GovCon community in the identification of proposed new polices and provide the status of any proposal in those cases where a court challenge is filed seeking to stop the Administration from taking the proposed action. The Trump Administration: Government Contracts Policy & News Tracker is a public source, searchable database. It is clearly organized with a listing for each identified action. Each listing provides –

● Date of action
● Description of action – a short summary in plain speak
● Identity of entity implementing the action (GSA, OMB, etc.)
● Parties affected by action (“Federal Contractors”, “Defense Contractors”,
“Widespread Impact”, etc.)
● Category of action (Presidential Executive Order, Presidential Policy Directive, or
an Agency Policy)
● Link to the action

The tracker is published by the GW Law Government Procurement Law Program (GW Procurement Law), a curriculum concentration offered by the George Washington University Law School.
