Executive Partner Pamela Bethel will be honored as a Black History Hero

O’Riordan Bethel is proud to announce that our Executive Partner, Pamela Bethel, is to be honored as a “Black History Hero” as a part of Maryland Live! Casino’s Black History Month Celebration 2016. Throughout her career, Ms. Bethel has served her community as an attorney in both the public and private sectors. Ms. Bethel served over ten years as a trial attorney with the Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice Criminal Division. During her tenure, she successfully prosecuted major securities insider trading suits and a variety of other fraud cases in federal courts across the country. Since entering private practice, Ms. Bethel has regularly represented corporations as well as individuals, handling several cases that have received national publicity.

Ms. Bethel was also the recipient of the 2012 Washington Bar Association Legal Fund, Inc. Mabel Hayden Trailblazer award and, in 2013, was inducted into the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame for her achievements in the field of Government and Law.

Ms. Bethel will be honored along with 14 other distinguished members of the community, including Ms. Sandra Eberhard, Executive Director of the Women Presidents’ Education Organization (WPEO); Mr. Eugene W. Grant, Mayor of Seat Pleasant, Maryland; and Dr. Harry Quinton, a Tuskegee Airman. The reception will take place on Thursday, February 25, at Maryland Live! Casino.
