With a thirty (30) year track record in business development and technology innovation across several industries including information technology, environmental, petrochemical and government contracting, John effectively combines a technical background and presentation skills to communicate complex concepts to clients and staff of all technical levels. A proven performer in teambuilding, managing and motivating staff and contractors, and defining processes for enhanced productivity, John holds a current Top Secret Clearance.
In addition to his fourteen (14) years as project manager on large, collaborative and multi-disciplinary federal research & development contracts, John is an accomplished educator. He has served for more than 20 years as an adjunct faculty member of Harford Community College (Chemistry, Computer Science) responsible for curriculum and course development, and currently sits on Harford’s Curriculum Advisory Council.
From 1986 through 2005, John provided technical consulting, training, database, and chemical brokerage services to the U.S. Government, Chemical, and Petroleum Refining Industries, including chemical agent decontamination; and developed and delivered a web-based interactive document review and document management system to support a forty person oversight committee at the Newport Army Depot.
John’s rich experience includes past certification as a HAZWOPPER trainer (Hazardous Waste Operations); service on the Presidential Advisory Committee of Gulf War Veterans Illnesses, where he provided technical support to several Chemical Demilitarization projects; the conduct of a two year study to modernize the U.S. Army’s Radford Army Ammunition plant and work (with the Transportation Safety laboratories in Atlantic City, New Jersey (establishing a back-up laboratory and handling contractor management, working in conjunction with the Army Research Laboratory). Through this all, he has gained technical expertise in explosives, energetics, hazardous materials, environmental toxins, as well as a deep understanding of the practical implications that these materials have on transportation and security that is uniquely relevant to the First Observer™ Program.

John’s work in private industry include the development and commercialization of the following technologies:
-Aircraft Deicing technology and improvements in airport ground operations
-Carbon Monoxide combustion catalyst for the refining industry for energy capture and pollution control
-Outsourcing Business Modeling and technology lifecycle analysis for client companies,
-Scrap tire recycling – conversion of scrap ties into diesel fuel and synthetic natural gas (SNG).
-Kidney Dialysis staff management software, HR review and evaluation software (developed and deployed for ATK),
-Quantitative Secondary Electron Detectors for improved resolution in Scanning Electron Microscopes Nanoscale Silver particle production for medical applications,
-Novel anti-jamming and signal encryption technology for covert communications in signal denied areas
John holds an MBA (Finance) from Gannon University, Erie, PA, and a B.S. (Chemistry Major, German Minor), from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA.
